The official exam (published by Ontario Pesticide Training and Certification, University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus)

• Structural module exam: 50 multiple-choice questions, 1.5 hours, open book (a Structural licence also needs the Core Manual exam)
• Pass mark: 75%
• Written in person at scheduled OPT&C exam sittings across Ontario

What you get

Who can register

The eligibility standard follows the licensing body's published qualifications for an Ontario exterminator licence:

• 16 years of age or older (if you are under 18, your parent or guardian must consent to this registration)
• Minimum Grade 10 standing in Ontario or the equivalent
• Proficiency in English or French
• A valid photo ID and proof of your OPT&C exam registration showing your exam date (uploaded with the Mock exam document upload form within 3 days of registering; the link is in your registration confirmation email)

How registration works

1. Choose Structural Mock Exam Access or the Core and Structural bundle and complete the registration form, including the eligibility declaration. Then upload a copy of your government photo ID and proof of your OPT&C exam registration using the Mock exam document upload form (the link is in your registration confirmation email), with the same email address you registered with, within 3 days.
2. Pay online by credit card at the end of the form. An unpaid registration is cancelled automatically after 15 minutes, and you can register again at any time.
3. Assessment. Your details and documents are checked against the eligibility requirements, usually within a few hours if everything is in order. You receive an email as soon as your documents arrive. If our Admissions team needs anything else, you are told exactly what to send and by when. If no documents arrive within 1 hour of registering, you receive one reminder.
4. Access. If approved, you receive your access email with the link, your access code and your access end date. If not approved, you are told why, and your fee is refunded in full by the same payment method within 2 to 3 business days.

• Canadian Career Education College (CCEC) is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ontario Pesticide Training and Certification, the University of Guelph or the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks. CCEC does not administer the licensing exam and does not issue the licence. Completing this course does not qualify you for a licence.
• The content areas and their weighting are CCEC's practice structure; OPT&C does not publish an exam blueprint. CCEC questions are original and are written from public sources (Ontario Regulation 63/09, Health Canada pest control information and a national-standard structural pest control manual).
