Admission Requirements: Short Study and Micro-Credential Certificate Programs

Who Can Apply

• Domestic and international learners: online programs have no geographic restrictions.
• Visitors in Canada: you may enrol in these short programs if your current status allows short-term study.
• Career changers and lifelong learners: there is no maximum age limit. The College values work experience as well as formal education.

Core Admission Requirements

Required Documents

1. Government-issued photo identification: a clear copy of a valid passport biographical data page, a government ID card, or other official photo identification.
2. Educational credentials: a copy of your OSSD or equivalent, or a higher diploma or degree. Applicants educated outside Canada must provide an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) where applicable.
3. Mature Student Status (if applicable): for applicants without a secondary school diploma.
4. Proof of name change (if applicable): if the name on your ID does not match your transcripts, provide legal proof of the change, such as a name change affidavit. Marriage certificates are not accepted as proof of a legal name change.

International Applicants

• No study permit required: these programs run less than six months.
• No Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) required.
• Online delivery: earn a Canadian-issued certificate without travel or relocation.
• No Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP): completion does not qualify you for a PGWP.
• You are responsible for making sure your status allows short-term study in Canada.

Admission Process

• Apply online through the Program Registration Portal.
• Processing may take 15 to 30 days from the date the College receives your application. The College sends its decision by email; check your inbox and spam folder.
• All admission requirements, including the first tuition payment, must be completed at least 30 days before the program start date.
