For Professional Certificate Courses
"Pay as you learn" structure and refund policy. Because this program is exempt from the refund regulations of the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005 (due to being a short-term professional development course), the college has the flexibility to set the following policies.
Terms & Conditions: Tuition, Payments, and Refunds
By enrolling in the Professional Certificate Program at Can College, students agree to the following financial terms and conditions:
1. "Pay As You Learn" Fee Structure
-
Per-Module Pricing: The total tuition for the program ranges between $750 - $1,950 CAD, divided into 3-6 distinct modules. Students are only required to pay $150-325 CAD per module.
-
Payment Schedule: Payments are made on a course-by-course basis. Students must remit the $150-325 CAD fee in full prior to gaining access to the online learning portal or attending the in-class sessions for that specific module.
-
No Long-Term Financial Commitment: Students are under no obligation to purchase all 3-6 modules upfront. You may pause your studies between modules; however, tuition rates are subject to change. Purchasing a module guarantees the $150-$325 rate for that module only.
2. Refund Policy Because this program utilizes a flexible pay-as-you-go model and grants immediate access to proprietary digital course materials, our refund policy is strictly applied:
-
Before Course Access: If a student pays for a module but requests a refund before logging into the online portal or attending the first in-class session, they are entitled to a full refund of the $150-$325 fee, minus a $50 CAD administrative processing fee.
-
After Course Access: Once a student has accessed the online learning materials, downloaded course files, or attended an in-class session for a specific module, no refunds will be issued for that module.
-
Program Withdrawal: Because students only pay for one module at a time, you may withdraw from the program at any time simply by choosing not to enroll in the next module. There are no cancellation fees or penalties for discontinuing your studies.
3. Course Timelines & Expiry
-
Module Completion: Students are expected to complete each module within the standard program time frame (total duration 8 to 12 weeks). Once a module is purchased, students have a maximum of 30 days or as per specific to each model duration to complete the course requirements for that specific module.
-
Extensions: Extensions may be granted at the discretion of the Can College administration upon written request.
4. College Right to Cancel or Reschedule
-
Can College reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or change the delivery format of in-class sessions due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances.
-
In the event that Can College cancels a module that a student has already paid for, the student will be offered the choice of a 100% full refund for that module or a transfer of funds to the next available session.
