Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma
A full-time diploma that builds the computer, administrative, and communication skills used in law offices and legal departments. Canadian Career Education College (CCEC) delivers the program in English.
Program Overview
Legal administrative assistants, sometimes called legal secretaries, provide administrative support to lawyers and other legal professionals. The program covers legal procedures and terminology and several areas of law, including family law, corporate law, litigation, real estate law, and wills and estates.
Graduates may seek work in law firms, legal departments, insurance companies, real estate offices, government departments, and the courts.

Admission Requirements
Academic Requirement
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or Mature Student Status. See Domestic Admission Requirements and International Admission Requirements.
Mature Student Status
An applicant who does not have an OSSD or equivalent may be admitted as a mature student if the applicant is 18 years of age or older and passes a qualifying test approved by the Superintendent of Career Colleges (Ontario Regulation 415/06, section 19). See Mature Student Status.

Delivery and Enrolment
Domestic Students
Canadian citizens and permanent residents may study in class at the Vaughan campus or online through distance education. No internship or placement is required.
International Students
Under current IRCC regulations, CCEC accepts international students in vocational programs in the online distance education format only, unless the applicant holds a valid study permit when applying.
