Conditions in Your Acceptance LetterRead your letter closely. If you must finish a prerequisite, such as a course or program, before admission, the College issues a conditional letter of acceptance, which you submit when you apply to enter Canada. Your study permit then covers the length of the prerequisite plus one year. Once you meet the conditions, you must apply for a new study permit and show that you have met all admission requirements. If you do not meet the conditions, your offer of admission may be revoked. CCEC LOA Policy (V.128-2025)This policy is effective January 28, 2025, and applies to all applicants until further notice. Your Letter of Acceptance will state one of the following: 1. AcceptedYou have been accepted into your program. Confirm your intention to attend by paying the confirmation fee. Full instructions are in your LOA. 2. Accepted with ConditionsYour LOA lists one or more conditions you must meet to secure your seat, such as a tuition instalment paid in advance, additional academic documents, or upgraded English or math skills. Meet them as soon as possible. Your seat is not secured until the College verifies that all conditions are met. Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL)Where a PAL applies and is approved, the College processes the PAL on your behalf. This may take 15 to 30 business days. If the College cannot issue a PAL, it will consider a refund of fees for eligible students who applied for admission after January 22, 2024. See Provincial Attestation Letter. LOA Deferrals and ExtensionsIf you need to change your start date or defer to another session, for example because of a delay in the visa or permit process, your request depends on seat availability at that time. The College may not be able to offer a seat in your chosen program and session. Read the Deferral Policy. Questions About Admission?Call 1-905-499-3631, ext. 102 or 103, or email Administration.
