Police Foundations Diploma
A full-time diploma for learners preparing for a career in policing, law enforcement, and security in Ontario and across Canada. Canadian Career Education College (CCEC) delivers the program in English.
Program Overview
The curriculum covers the knowledge and skills expected of a law enforcement officer, including the criminal justice system, police powers, community policing, private investigations, diversity awareness, investigations, evidence, and lifestyle management.
Occupations toward which the program is directed: police officer and law enforcement officer. Police services set their own hiring and selection requirements.

Admission Requirements
Academic Requirement
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or Mature Student Status. See Domestic Admission Requirements and International Admission Requirements.
Mature Student Status
An applicant who does not have an OSSD or equivalent may be admitted as a mature student if the applicant is 18 years of age or older and passes a qualifying test approved by the Superintendent of Career Colleges (Ontario Regulation 415/06, section 19). See Mature Student Status.

Delivery and Enrolment
Domestic Students
Canadian citizens and permanent residents may study in class at the Vaughan campus or online through distance education. No internship or placement is required.
International Students
Under current IRCC regulations, CCEC accepts international students in vocational programs in the online distance education format only, unless the applicant holds a valid study permit when applying.

- CCEC does not guarantee employment, job placement, or salary. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission.
