Admission Policy

• Age: at least 18 years of age at the time of registration. There is no maximum age limit.
• Education: an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or a recognized equivalent. Higher degrees and diplomas are accepted.
• Mature Student Status: applicants 18 years of age or older without a secondary school diploma may apply under Mature Student Status. Admission is based on relevant professional experience and skills. See Mature Student Status.
• Identification: a valid government-issued photo ID is required for all registrations.

Application and Enrolment

• New applicants select Option 3A in the application portal and provide a valid email address to create a Learning Management System (LMS) profile.
• Continuing students who want to move to a new module in the same program email the Admissions Office for a manual extension.
• Current students who want to enrol in a different skilled trade use a different email address and select Option 4A to create a separate student record.
• After you submit the application, you receive an email link to upload the required documents. Upload all documents within 3 business days, or the application is deleted automatically.

International and Visitor Applicants

• Online programs have no geographic restrictions.
• These programs last less than six months and do not require a Canadian study permit or a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL). Visitors to Canada may enrol.
• Completion does not qualify a student for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

Refund Policy and Process

Because these programs are short and course materials are delivered right away, the following terms apply:

• Non-refundable fees: registration or administrative fees ($50 to $100) paid at the time of application are not refundable.
• Tax status: all programs are GST/HST exempt for all applicants.
• Before program access: you may request a refund of tuition, minus administrative fees, if CCEC receives your written withdrawal notice at least 7 business days before the program start date or the delivery of course materials.
• After program access: no refund is issued once you have access to the LMS or once program materials (PDFs, videos, or syllabi) have been emailed to you.
• Exam prep sessions: fees for 2 to 3 hour exam prep lectures are not refundable once the registration is processed, because these sessions give immediate access to study materials.

Submit a request with the online refund form or email Accounts and Refunds. The standard refund processing time is 15 to 30 business days, starting from the date CCEC receives a fully completed Refund Request Form. Incomplete forms delay processing.

Course Cancellation

If CCEC cancels a scheduled live session or program, you may choose a full refund of the tuition fee or a transfer to a future date at no extra cost.

The CCEC Guarantee

For specific comprehensive exam prep courses, a student who fails their professional licensing exam may retake the course once, live online or recorded, at no additional charge. This guarantee is not a cash refund.
