Ontario Pesticide Exterminator Core Exam Prep: Mock Exam Access

100% online, self-paced practice for Part 1 of the Ontario Pesticide Exterminator licensing exam (the Core Manual exam). Timed practice questions and full-length mock exams built to the official format, with an explanation and source reference for every answer. No lectures and no scheduled sessions: you register, your eligibility is assessed, and you practise online until your exam date.

Not sure yet? Start with the Free Diagnostic Access (one week, no fee) and come back for the full question bank and mock exams.

The official exam (published by Ontario Pesticide Training and Certification, University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus)

  • Core Manual exam: 50 multiple-choice questions, 1 hour, closed book
  • Pass mark: 75%
  • Written in person at scheduled OPT&C exam sittings across Ontario

What you get

  • Tier 2: Question Bank Pass (CAD 29): a 20-question diagnostic, eight content-area practice quizzes with explanations and citations, and two full-length timed mock exams (50 questions, 60 minutes, 75% pass mark), with results by email.
  • Tier 3: Full Mock Exam Bundle (CAD 79): everything in Tier 2 plus four additional full-length mock exams, more attempts per mock, and downloadable PDF summary guides including the pesticide calculation guide.

Access period: access runs from approval until the upcoming exam date you enter at registration, within the maximum access window for this exam category.

Who can register

The eligibility standard follows the licensing body's published qualifications for an Ontario exterminator licence:

  • 16 years of age or older (if you are under 18, your parent or guardian must consent to this registration)
  • Minimum Grade 10 standing in Ontario or the equivalent
  • Proficiency in English or French
  • A valid photo ID and proof of your OPT&C exam registration showing your exam date (uploaded at registration)

How registration works

  1. Choose Tier 2 or Tier 3 and complete the registration form, including the eligibility declaration and the two document uploads (photo ID and proof of your OPT&C exam registration).
  2. Pay online by credit card at the end of the form. An unpaid registration is cancelled automatically after 15 minutes, and you can register again at any time.
  3. Assessment. Your details and documents are checked against the eligibility requirements, usually within a few hours if everything is in order.
  4. Access. If approved, you receive your access email with the link, your access code and your access end date. If not approved, you are told why, and your fee is refunded in full by the same payment method within 2 to 3 business days.

  • Exam prep fees are non-refundable once access has been granted. Please review the Short Study / Micro-Credential Program Policies before registering.
