Who can register
To register you need to be preparing for a PEBC Qualifying Examination Part I and to meet PEBC's own eligibility for it. PEBC lists, among others:
- Pharmacist exam: graduates of a first professional pharmacy degree program accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP), or students in the final year of such a program who expect to graduate within 9 months (approved conditionally by PEBC); international and U.S. pharmacy graduates with a completed, valid PEBC Pharmacist Document Evaluation.
- Pharmacy technician exam: graduates (2008 or later) of a CCAPP-accredited pharmacy technician program, or students about to graduate (approved conditionally by PEBC); international pharmacy technician graduates found eligible through the PEBC International Evaluation; holders of a valid PEBC Pharmacist Document Evaluation.
You also need a valid government photo ID and proof of your PEBC exam eligibility or booking (for example your PEBC acceptance or Document Evaluation letter, or your exam booking) showing your exam sitting or date, uploaded with the Mock exam document upload form within 3 days of registering; the link is in your registration confirmation email.
Eligibility to write is decided by PEBC, and registration requirements are set by each provincial pharmacy regulator, not by CCEC.
How free registration works
- Complete the registration form, including the eligibility declaration. There is no payment step: your registration is submitted as soon as the form is complete. Then upload a copy of your government photo ID and proof of your PEBC exam eligibility or booking using the Mock exam document upload form (the link is in your registration confirmation email), with the same email address you registered with, within 3 days.
- Assessment. Your details and documents are checked against the eligibility requirements, usually within a few hours if everything is in order. If our Admissions team needs anything else, you are told exactly what to send and by when. If your documents have not arrived, you receive reminders, the first about 2 hours after registering.
- Access. If approved, you receive your access email with the link, your access code and your access end date, one week from approval. If not approved, you are told why.
