The Modular Learning Model

The Bio-Recovery and Trauma Site Restoration Specialist program is divided into five modules.
Individual Module Path (CPD): For restoration professionals needing a specific safety update (e.g., Bloodborne Pathogens).

Full Certificate Path: All five modules must be completed to earn the Professional Certificate.

Course Modules (15-40 Hours Each)

Module 1: Bio-Safety and Pathogens Focuses on the microbiology of high-risk environments. You will learn about bloodborne pathogens (HIV, Hepatitis B/C), PPE donning and doffing, and workplace safety standards (OSHA/Provincial frameworks).


Module 2: Decontamination Science Covers the chemistry of disinfection. Topics include selecting antimicrobial agents, using foggers and HEPA air scrubbers, and using ATP testing to verify biological cleanliness.


Module 3: Trauma and Forensic Protocols Specialized techniques for crime scenes, suicides, and unattended deaths. Learn how to work alongside law enforcement and establish "Hot, Warm, and Cold" safety zones to prevent cross-contamination.


Module 4: Structural Remediation and Waste A technical look at property restoration. You will learn when to clean versus remove structural materials (drywall, flooring), HVAC decontamination, and the legal logistics of bio-medical waste disposal.


Module 5: Ethics, Resilience, and Business Focuses on the "Human Element." Includes psychological first aid for clients, technician mental health (compassion fatigue), and an overview of insurance claims and business operations.
