OSAP Application - How to Apply

OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) What is OSAP?   OSAP Q&A

Who is eligible for OSAP?

OSAP is open to Ontario residents who are:

  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons;
  • Attending an OSAP-approved program and school; and
  • Enrolled in a certificate, degree or diploma program that is at least 12 weeks long.

You can use OSAP funding to attend a college or university anywhere in the world, as long as the institution you want to attend has been approved for student loan purposes in Ontario.

CCEC is an approved OSAP College and its programs are eligible for OSAP funding. If CCEC has approved your admission and you meet the above OSAP criteria, you can follow the steps below to begin the process.

It is recommended that the admission enrollment and OSAP application process be started at least 30-40 days before the program's start date.

Before you apply for OSAP:
For OSAP funding purposes, you must know whether you are considered a full-time or part-time student. The CCEC can assess this by the admissions team for free by following the steps explained below.

College Admission.
Step 1-   (may take 2-3 business days)
Gather info about your desired program at CCEC and admission requirements by applying for admission and receiving an assessment of your admission and a student number from the college.
This will provide complete details, such as your eligibility for admission, the fees, etc. There is no fee for this initial assessment.

If you agree with the assessment and meet all requirements, you may enroll in the program and receive an enrollment contract from the college in the program/related session. Our admission application-confirmation fee is $250. This fee is refundable if your OSAP, or other funding, is not approved.
