Professional Certificate in Architectural Drafting
A five-module certificate in CAD, BIM, AI-assisted drafting, and Ontario building permit requirements. Prepare to work as a drafter or technician under the supervision of licensed architects and engineers. Register for individual modules as CPD, or take all modules as a bundle.

Single Module (CPD)
Register for one or more modules to upgrade a specific skill.
- Time: 15 to 40 hours per module (2 to 4 weeks)

All Modules as a Bundle
Complete all five modules for the full Professional Certificate.
- Tuition: $1,800 (a saving of $150 over five single modules)
- Best for: career changers and new entrants to drafting

Admission Requirements
Academic
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent; or
- Mature Student Assessment (MSA) for applicants aged 19 or older without a secondary school diploma. Learn about mature student status.
- Basic computer literacy is strongly recommended.
- There is no maximum age limit.
International Applicants
- Applicants from any country are welcome.
- This program runs less than six months. A study permit and a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) are not required.
- Completion does not qualify a student for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

Delivery and Assessment
100% Online
Self-paced study through the College learning management system (LMS), with real-time instructor support. Practical skills are assessed through instructor-monitored online evaluations.
100% In Person (Vaughan Campus)
Instructor-led classes with hands-on practical training. Attendance requirements are set out in the course syllabus.
In both formats, written examinations are completed online and are open-book. Online students must meet the College System Requirements. This program uses design or AI software, so the recommended specifications apply.

- Completion does not grant the right to use the protected titles “Architect” or “Professional Engineer” in Ontario. These professions are licensed by the Ontario Association of Architects and Professional Engineers Ontario.
- The program teaches the Ontario Building Code but does not grant a Building Code Identification Number (BCIN). BCIN qualification requires separate provincial examinations and registration.
- AI-generated drafting output must always be verified by a qualified person.
- The College does not guarantee employment or salary outcomes.
