Your pending application needs your attention. If you wish to continue with admission and enrolment, reply within 3 business days by email to Student Services Administration. If we do not hear from you in that time, the system deletes your application automatically without further notice.
1. The Six-Month Study Exemption
Under Canadian immigration regulations, a foreign national may study in Canada without a study permit if the course or program lasts six months or less and is completed within the authorized period of stay. CCEC Short Study and CPD programs are designed to be completed within that time, so a study permit is not required to enrol. See IRCC: who doesn’t need a study permit.
2. How You Can Complete Your Studies
Option A: Online From Your Home Country
If you study entirely online from outside Canada, you do not need a Canadian visa, eTA, or study permit.
Option B: In Person in Canada
If you travel to Canada for an in-class module (for example at our Vaughan campus), or are already in Canada as a visitor, you may study in these short programs. You still need the right travel document, such as a visitor visa or eTA, to enter and stay in Canada.
3. What These Programs Do Not Provide
- No PAL: because a study permit is not required, applicants do not need, and will not be issued, a Provincial Attestation Letter.
- No PGWP: completing these programs does not qualify you for a Post-Graduation Work Permit. They are designed for skill upgrading and professional development.
4. Your Responsibility
This is general information. You are responsible for making sure your visa, eTA, or visitor status allows short-term study in Canada, and for keeping legal status at all times.
