Learning objective:
The best way to do well in exams is to make sure you are well prepared.
The analogy to examination writing is a skill. This skill can be improved by instruction. In this class the student would be advised to follow certain steps in writing an essay exam.
Besides covering main substantive areas related to subject course, in this class educator will cover ideas and ways in which the nuts and bolts of legal academic writing in an analytical way, illustrating a step-by-step approach that will hopefully show students the value of writing in the classroom without the pressure of simply being told to put pen to paper!
Class subject and objectives:
In this course students will learn main point only related to understanding and knowledge of the processes of dispute resolution in civil the course also emphasizes questions of jurisdiction, structures, personnel and standard procedural methods and steps in the civil courts in adjudicating the causes and issues that come before them.
The course focuses on what are known as the “Rules of Civil Procedure”. Reference will also be made from time to time to certain statutes that have a bearing on the application of the Rules and to reported cases.
Main areas of both Ontario and BC procedures as per NCA syllabus will be covered in this course.
