Personal Support and Child Care Diploma
A full-time diploma that prepares you to help children, seniors, persons with disabilities, and convalescent clients with daily living, often in home care settings. Canadian Career Education College (CCEC) delivers the program in English.
Program Overview
Graduates provide personal care and companionship within the client's residence and may also perform housekeeping and home management duties.
Examples of related jobs: family or child caregiver, home support worker, housekeeper, live-in caregiver, personal aide (home support), and personal care attendant (home care).

Admission Requirements
Academic Requirement
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or Mature Student Status. See Domestic Admission Requirements and International Admission Requirements.
Mature Student Status
An applicant who does not have an OSSD or equivalent may be admitted as a mature student if the applicant is 18 years of age or older and passes a qualifying test approved by the Superintendent of Career Colleges (Ontario Regulation 415/06, section 19). See Mature Student Status.

Delivery and Enrolment
Domestic Students
Canadian citizens and permanent residents may study in class at the Vaughan campus or online through distance education. No internship or placement is required.
International Students
Under current IRCC regulations, CCEC accepts international students in vocational diploma programs in the online distance education format only, unless the applicant holds a valid study permit when applying.
There is no off-campus practicum. Practical skills are assessed through on-campus practicals and assignments.
